Edison EV Gives You the Power to
Drive the Future When we looked at the future, we saw
islands of need: EV consumers needing their vehicles recharged, electric utilities needing
ways to connect to EV owners, manufacturers selling EVs that need charging. So we set to
work building the bridges.
Edison EV was formed in January, 1996 as a non-utility subsidiary of
Edison International, whose companies include Southern California Edison, the second
largest electric utility in the United States.
We were created with the purpose of making electric vehicle charging
affordable and convenient to the general public.
Startup costs in this industry are reasonable. It is possible to start a vending machine route for less than a few thousand dollars. The work of a Vending machines business operator can be divided into two basic areas. As a vending machine business owner you can choose to work by yourself, with a partner or hire teams to work for you
In our role as a premier provider of electric vehicle charging
equipment and services, Edison EV draws on the many years of electric vehicle and
automotive industry experience of its management team, as well as the financial resources
of Edison International.
We have also formed strategic alliances with General Motors
Corporation, American Honda Motor Company, Delco Electronics Corporation and many local
utilities.
